Nikolaus Satelmajer is the Interim Pastor. He has pastored or held leadership roles in New York, Ontario, Canada and Maryland. He retired from the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists where he was associate ministerial secretary and editor of Ministry, International Journal for Pastors. Since retirement he has been interim pastor of four congregations and for nearly three years was consultant to churches in seven Balkan countries.
In addition to writing articles for journals, he has also been editor and contributor of eight books. Some of the books are The Book That Changed the World: The Story of the King James Version; Here We Stand: Luther, the Reformation and Seventh-day Adventism and most recently, The Sabbath: What the Sabbath Means to Me.
Dr. Satelmajer received the B.A., M.Div. and D.Min., degrees from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan. He also received the S.T.M. degree (with distinction) in Reformation Studies from The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia.
Pastor Satelmajer and his wife Ruth, a retired educator and school principal, have four children. Other young people have also lived with the Satelmajer’s.
